COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Medical personnel have not yet determined a cause of death for a University of Maryland student who passed away Monday afternoon.
According to Prince George's County Fire and EMS spokesperson Mark Brady, paramedics responded to the UMD campus at about 1:55 p.m. for a report of a student in need of medical attention.
When they arrived, paramedics found Lowell Ensel not breathing and without a pulse and began performing CPR.
Ensel was transported to Washington Adventist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:50 p.m.
Ensel, a sophomore, was an active member of Maryland Images, the campus tour guide organization.
