COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WUSA/UMD)-Saturday, April 28 the University of Maryland will be holding it's 14th annual Maryland Day.  A celebration of everything Terp! It's a family-friendly event with 400 interactive exhibits, workshops and live performances.

9NEWS NOW is teaming up with the University for this big day.  And we gave young people at the school the opportunity to do their own news story.  The students researched their topic, did their own shooting, writing and editing.

Rebecca Taran reports on a former child slave trying to save others from the same fate.
