Eating Out Never Felt So Good!

Hard Times Cafe Brings Second Annual Wing Off

Hard Times Cafe Brings Second Annual Wing Off

Hard Times Cafe and 106.7 The Fan are proud to bring the 2011 Wing Bowl Championship to the area. There will be a total of 7 wing eating competition “Wing Offs.”

Hard Times Cafe General Manager, John Pecyncki, said this is the second year in a row for Hard Times to host this competition. All of the wings are Texas Hot Wings favor and the goal is to see who can eat the most wings in an allotted time. There are 2 rounds in the competition. The first round is to see who can eat the most wings in 10 minutes and then the top wing eaters advance to the “Wing Off” for another 4 minutes of wing eating.

“I guess they have to be used to eating large amounts of food,” said Pecyncki who thinks that people definitely practice before the competition. The winner of last year’s competition was a student from University of Maryland and did dry runs at local wing eateries.

Has National Harbor Helped Changed The Image of Prince George's County?

Ask drivers from Virginia, who travel into Maryland, and they will tell you it is hard not to notice the beautiful development that overlooks the Potomac River, especially during the evening and night times where the National Harbor is illuminated with bright vibrate colors.  The National Harbor has not only become a destination, located just minutes away from our Nation's capital, but also a symbol of change for a county that has long struggled with attracting large public and private sector employers as well as high to middle-class retail options for its' residents compared to the surrounding counties.

Experience & Enjoy College Park Tour

Think you know everything College Park has to offer?  Want to be more active in your community?

The Experience and Enjoy College Park Tour is intended to bring those who spend most of their time in the city together to talk about local issues and major happenings in College Park.

The best part about this tour is that patrons get to experience one local restaurant a month.  All of this is in efforts to raise awareness about great local dining and shopping already within College Park’s borders.  The tour prides itself on promoting the opportunity to meet fellow residents, help the local economy, and have a good time.

The next tour stop is Wednesday,  August 25 at 7:00pm at NY Deli (4926 Edgewood Road) with guest Speaker David Mitchell, the new University of Maryland Police Chief.
