Congratulations to the winner of our Facebook Photo Caption Contest, Charlene Woods. Did you watch the Super Bowl?

This photo (provided by US Presswire) is of NY Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw running for a touchdown with :57 left on the clock.

The theory is that the New England Patriot allowed the Giants to score the touchdown, so they could get the ball back with one timeout and enough time to make a final drive. The Giants ended up winning Super Bowl XLVI 21-17.

The following information was sent to us by the Maryland Stadium Authority's, Jan Hardesty:

In preparation for the Ravens playoff game on Sunday, M&T Bank Stadium is flying for the first time the commemorative 15-star, 15-stripe American flag – a replica of the Star-Spangled Banner that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the National Anthem following the all-night British bombardment of Fort McHenry in 1814.

Maryland Opens Season Against Miami

 Maryland Opens Season Against Miami

The outcome of tonight's game is uncertain as new head coaches for both The Maryland Terrapins and The Miami Hurricanes battle in a nationally televised ACC opener at 8:00 p.m. in College Park.

Most of the attention will undoubtedly be focused on Miami as The Hurricanes will be missing eight players, including starting quarterback Jacory Harris due to the Nevin Shapiro scandal. The biggest loss might be senior linebacker and Preseason All-ACC candidate Sean Spence.

As for Maryland, they return 14 starters from last season's 9-4 team.

Maryland players to watch tonight: QB, Danny O'Brien and linebacker, Kenny Tate.
