Person sought in UMD off-campus burglary

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police are searching for a person in connection with a burglary that happened in College Park Wednesday evening.

Prince George's County Police Department informed University of Maryland that the incident happened around 7:02 p.m. in the 4800 block of Berwyn House Road in College Park, Md.

A female University of Maryland student told police that she heard a noise coming from her bedroom on the first floor. She went into her room and noticed that the window had been broken into. A person was trying to get into the home through the window. The suspect then fled the scene, police said.
