The Mall at Prince Georges is the #1 Stop for Back to School & Tax Free Weekend!

As hundreds of area consumers take advantage of back to school sales and shop for tools to make the grade and outfits for the classroom, The Mall at Prince Georges, 3500 East West Highway, Hyattsville, MD is the region’s top source to fulfill parents and students back to school needs.

“At The Mall at Prince Georges, we have a wide variety of stores catering to our back to school customers from Rainbow Kids to the Children’s Place, Sephora, Target, JC Penny, and Macy’s,” said Ms. Clark.

Maryland's Sales Tax Holiday starts this Sunday, August 14th.  Sales and use tax does not apply if the taxable price of the item of clothing or footwear is $100 or less.

“We look forward to tax free weekend so parent’s can save a little money on back to school needs, said The Mall’s Marketing Director Victoria Clark

It is possible that Prince George’s County will welcome a superstore to Oxon Hill, Md. by 2013. The Post reported earlier this month that Wal-Mart has a tentative agreement to build a new store with the developer behind the National Harbor complex.

“We have been looking at the Prince George’s County market for quite some time now.

Gift Ideas For Mother's Day

Gift Ideas For Mother's Day

Just as the temperature begins to show signs of heating up, and my flower beds begin to show signs of life beyond winter, I found the most gorgeous collection of silk photo albums that are simply too elegant to forget. And in fact, I was invited to a fabulous black tie event last weekend at my friend, Lynda's home (yes, her home!) and I so wish that I had come across these works of art before I settled on something lovely as a hostess gift-- but not nearly as special.

Has National Harbor Helped Changed The Image of Prince George's County?

Ask drivers from Virginia, who travel into Maryland, and they will tell you it is hard not to notice the beautiful development that overlooks the Potomac River, especially during the evening and night times where the National Harbor is illuminated with bright vibrate colors.  The National Harbor has not only become a destination, located just minutes away from our Nation's capital, but also a symbol of change for a county that has long struggled with attracting large public and private sector employers as well as high to middle-class retail options for its' residents compared to the surrounding counties.
